Think Blue!
Being from Hawaii, I’ve never really had a “favorite” professional team. I do like the 49ers because my Dad is originally from the Bay Area and I grew up watching games. It wasn’t until I moved to Los Angeles and married my wife that I became a Dodger fan though.
Her parents have season tickets and we go a handful of times each season. Last night we saw them dismantle the San Diego Padres. This was my first time seeing them play since Manny Ramirez was traded to the Dodgers. All I can say is that it is a completely different atmosphere at the ballpark. Sure, some of that probably has to do with the playoffs approaching, but Manny brings something special to the plate. Here’s a pic from our seats. Not too bad…

Five Wideouts
I mean really…who runs five wideouts for an entire quarter! I understand when your down a bunch of points, but not having your running back in for an entire quarter is a little silly.
As you can see, I’m a little bitter about my first Fantasy Football loss of the season. I was down by three points with Terrell Owens and Thomas Jones still to go, I figured I had a pretty good chance. Well, after a complete Homer by T.O and a fumble by TJ, I lost by .2 points. To give you an idea of how close that is, all I needed was for Thomas Jones to gain two more yards. Ugh!
Looks like it’s back to the drawing board for The Breeder’s Cup…
50 inches
It’s been a couple of weeks since we got our brand new plasma so I thought I would finally blog about it. As a person who prides myself on knowing and having the latest tech gear, it was a surprise to many that I was still watching shows on an old CRT TV. The final straw was when my faithful Sharp that I had purchased for $230 my freshman year of college finally bit the dust.
I had been bugging Tiff about it for a while and when she finally couldn’t watch House Hunters and Oprah in bed, it was time to get a new TV. We picked it up at Ken Cranes because I saw an ad in the paper for a pretty good price on a 50 inch Samsung. When we got there, they had the wrong price on the TV but still had to honor it so we got such a crazy deal on it.
What a difference a great TV makes. I’ve found myself watching TV more (which is bad) and especially enjoying the college football and NFL football in HD. Since I hooked up my old laptop to the plasma so I could do work and surf the net on the TV, I thought it would be appropriate to take a picture of myself viewing my website on my plasma (totally vain, but thanks to my next door neighbor Tami for the idea).
