A Pilot's View

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a pilot for a major airline?  Perhaps you haven’t, but I have.  In fact, I almost went to Embry Riddle to become a pilot after graduating high school.  I’ve always had a fascination with airplanes, and wanted to follow in my Grandfather’s footsteps who flew P-38′s in WWII.  In never happened but I still love fly whenever I get the chance.

If you haven’t been to Airliners.net, you should definitely check it out as they have a great photo database of aircraft photos.  I came across this trip report from a first officer for Hawaiian Airlines.  It gives a unique perspective into what it’s like to be a commercial pilot.  Check it out.

Other Sites and Sounds

Tiffany and I had a wonderful time in New York City taking in the sites, eating great food, and even catching a show.  We ended up seeing “In The Heights” which is one of the most amazing musicals I have ever seen.  This musical was created by Lin-Manuel Miranda while he was attending Wesleyan University.  It has made its transition from a college production to and off-broadway run, then finally a Tony Award-Winning musical.  Oh yeah, Lin-Manuel also stars in the musical as the main character Usnavi.  You HAVE to see this musical, it is a breath of fresh air!

In line for a matinee.  Wet and cold in NYC.

Almost show time!
