Beijing Bowl
Last night we attended a red-carpet event thrown by Mikasa Sports. It was a celebration of the Mikasa athletes that won medals in Beijing. This included the Men’s and Women’s Indoor Volleyball Teams, Beach Volleyball Teams, and Water Polo.
The event was held at Strike located at The District in Tustin. It was a great opportunity to mingle with the athletes and enjoy some good food and bowling. Mikasa was handing out mini volleyball’s and water polo balls for people to get autographs. The highlight of the evening for me was watching Hudson throw his ball down the bowling lane and then chase it. Oops!

As Good as Gold!
It’s not everyday you get to hold an Olympic Gold Medal so you can imagine my excitement to see Reid’s medal from Beijing. We had a great time at his house hearing all the awesome stories about Beijing and their journey to gold.

My first impression of the medal is that it’s heavy. Reid was telling me that on the back side there is a ring of jade on the inside. The design is beautiful and I was amazed at the detail.
